Welcome to my first Blog post!

I wanted to share some good stuff with you so you can pray for these young men.

A few weeks ago after sharing the gospel and the challenge to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior through a silent prayer in the planetarium with 5th graders from St. Thomas More I walked outside  and saw the teacher sitting on the roundabout with a student. I didn't think much of it until about 5 minutes later the teacher came over to me with the student and said "John wants to tell you something". With tears running down his face, John said thank you. When I asked him what he was thanking me for.  He said that he had so much sin and that he just gave his heart to Jesus and he felt good. We sat down for the next 10 minuets as his tears continued to run down his cheeks. I told him how happy I was that he made that decision and I asked him to commit to reading the gospel of John as I explained John 1:1. He promised that he would. I also told John how his tears reminded me of a good friend of mine that recently passed away, Sean Wilson. Sean always told of how he must have filled buckets when he cried like a baby when he accepted Christ on the steps of the Bank of Bahamas downtown 25 years ago. I invited John to call me any time he had a question and I committed to pray for him.

Then, just the other day we had 54 "at risk youth" CH Reeves Jr High school students in for a full day program. We divide them up into 4 groups and start the day with some fun team-challenge activities to teach teamwork, dependency on others and character building traits. Of course we relate everything to trusting Christ and loving others. The students have lunch and then sit through a few speakers. At the end of the day I share the gospel and a challenge to receive Christ. Today I asked the students to stand up and come to the front of the classroom if they wanted to trust in Christ. "If you confess me before men, I will confess you before my Father in heaven". As I asked, eight, 8th and 9th grade boys came forward and prayed in front of their peers as they trusted Christ.

Please pray for John, these eight young men and all the "John's" that have become "new creations in Christ" within the gates of the Adventure Learning Centre through the years.

Thank you for enabling me to be in the midst of God's will.
